Order and inquiry procedure, e-mail security

e-mail us at
sales@offhandglass.com.
All orders submitted are confirmed by written confirmation
via
e-mail or letter.
Customers should not send us any private information via e-mail
as e-mail is not a secure form of data transmission.
Currently, there is no method of placing an order via our Web
site.
With glass that requires wiring there are three variables to be
determined during the order process: cord length, cord color of
black or white, and mounting configuration.
Depending on the size of an order and our workload, delivery time
from an order received is typically two months.
Appointments can be scheduled to visit our studio to see the glass
blowing process and view work already completed.
Color compatibility, Web site color palate inaccuracy, sample
glass
The best results of hand-blown glass are achieved by using up
to five colors. Difficulty increases as more colors are used and
some colors are incompatible. We will advise a customer when
they have chosen colors that are incompatible.
Due to the individual settings of customer computer monitors the
colors displayed on our Web site color palate may not be accurate.
For a nominal fee sample pieces of glass can be sent out for inspection.
Payment
We accept personal checks, company checks, certified checks and
money orders. We do not accept cash.
For orders with a glass invoice amount of $500 or less, payment
terms are 100% of the total invoice amount due in advance including
estimated shipping costs. Any under or overestimate of shipping
costs will be due or credited at delivery.
For orders with a glass invoice amount of greater than $500, payment
terms are a minimum of 50% of the glass invoice amount plus 100% of
the estimated shipping costs due in advance with any net due on delivery.
Any under or overestimate of shipping costs will be due or credited
at delivery.
Due to the structure of our business licenses we are required
to add sales tax when conducting business in certain states.
Where applicable, the Canadian GST (Goods and Services Tax), the
HST (Harmonised Sales Tax) and PST/TVQ (Provincial Sales Tax)
are the customer’s responsibility.
All consultations including on-site at a customer’s residence,
workspace or event space are complimentary.
We guarantee all work and customer satisfaction. If our glass
does not meet the needs of a customer, we will work to meet the
needs of the customer including our option of creating new glass.
If through our efforts such issues cannot be resolved, the delivered
glass is to be properly packed (see below) and sent back to us
via an insured carrier with a tracking number. In that event,
50% of the total glass invoice amount will be a restocking fee.
Shipping costs are nonrefundable.
Shipping
We routinely ship via UPS (United Parcel Service) 3 Day Select
service. This method includes insurance and a tracking number. We
can ship using a faster method per customer request.
Depending on the size of the work, all glass is double boxed,
packed four pieces to a box, wrapped in bubble wrap and packed
in styrofoam peanuts.
Customers must keep all boxes and packing material until all
glass is inspected for damage and it is confirmed all glass meets
their needs. If a customer receives damaged glass, they should
immediately notify us and we will initiate the UPS process to
determine a resolution. In that event, UPS requires all boxes
and packing material be provided for their inspection.
If we receive damaged glass sent back to us from a customer, we
will immediately notify the customer and the UPS process will
determine a resolution.

Customers may receive mailers or e-mail from us announcing
